(physician, Patterson, Madison county Iowa), Thomas L. (a farmer in Oregon), and Ella M. (wife of C. H. Whiteman); was again married May 1, 1860, to Miss Elizabeth Davis, a native of Johnson county, Indiana; she was born April 6, 1840; have one daughter: Annie, they are undecided at present where they will make their future home, but in all probabilities in Thornburg, Prairie township; Mr. and Mrs. D. are active members of the Christian Church at What Cheer Sigourney Review March 30, 1910 Jesse Dorman was born in Morgan County, Indiana, October 9, 1826, died in Keokuk county March 28, 1910. Aged 83 years, five months is 17 days. Came to Keokuk county in 1853 and located on a farm and Van Buren Township With this much said we feel like laying down the pan, for nothing that we can save this man can add anything to the life he is lived. In fact all that might be said of uncle Jesse doorman will be in adequate in his the mind of many who knew him. He was one of the best man it has ever been our lot to know. Kind, generous, even tempered, always looking on the bright side of life, he was a real comfort to me. No cloud seems so dark that uncle Jesse did not see sunshine in through the darkness. When he lived in this town he was a frequent visitor at this office and his good cheer made him walk him regardless of how busy we might be. We learn to love him as a father and feel that his place around here will be difficult to fill. Last fall he went to Indiana to spend the winter with his relatives. He took sick there and arriving home a few weeks left ago was in very poor health. And his advanced age, He was unable to regain his house and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Hasty, and Washington Township at 10 o'clock Monday evening. He will be buried in the cemetery this afternoon at 3 o'clock
