Jessie Edward Denton of RFD 2, Morocco, where he made his home with his son, Ira Denton, died at five o'clock Monday morning following gradually failing health. He was ninety years old. He was born in White county, Indiana, November 26, 1876, the son of Wash Denton and Amanda (Martin) Denton. He was educated in White county schools and was married to Irene Margaret Lamborn December 27, 1900. Mrs. Denton died December 8, 1961. He was a retired farmer and railroad worker. Surviving him with the son with whom he made his home is another son, Forrest Denton, of Bloomington, Illinois and a daughter, Mrs. Edna Harris, of RFD 2, Morocco; a brother, Thomas Denton, of Hammond and two sisters, Mrs. Effie Dunkin of Hammond and Mrs. Tillie Clark of Reynolds. He was preceded in death by six brothers. The funeral services will be held from Jackson's Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Henry Stoll oficiating. Interment will be in Welsh cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
