Description	:	Mrs. Charles Clarke Dies Saturday Mrs. Charles Clark died early Saturday morning following a severe illness. The funeral was held from the Congregational church at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. Mrs. Clark underwent a stroke of paralysis a few weeks ago from which she did not recover. Her husband who has been ill for a long period of time is bedfast and was unable to attend the funeral. The funeral was held from the Congregational church at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. Mrs. Clark underwent a stroke of paralysis a few weeks ago from which she did not recover. Her husband who has been ill for a long period of time is bedfast and was unable to attend the funeral. Miss Jessie F. DePew was born at Earlville, Iowa December 11, 1861 and there grew to womanhood. She united in marriage with Charles N. Clarke of Walnut, February 10, 1891. They established their home in Walnut where they lived for 20 years or more. Five sons were born to them, Kenneth, Keith, Lowell, Lorraine and Carol. Carol died in young manhood in 1920. Lorraine resides in Chico, Calif., the other three sons live here. The Clark family moved here from Walnut in 1911 and located on the Dr. Adams farm near Osgood. They have since resided in this vicinity. Mrs. Clark, though not a member was associated with the Congregational church. She was a mild, gentle woman, a kind, loving and devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor, a woman who was guided by conscience in word and deed. She will be sadly missed by her family and her large circle of friends regret her death exceedingly. Besides her husband and four sons Mrs. Clarke is survived by a sister Mrs. Read Kendall of Los Angeles who was with her at the time of her death, and one brother, W. C. DePew of Lebannon, Oregon. To them the Tribune extends sincere sympathy. Lorraine Clarke, made an airplane trip from California to Omaha and reached here in time to see his mother before she died. Mr. and Mrs. James Weiss of Walnut, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pontz of Ashland, Neb., came to attend the funeral. Mrs. Weiss and Mrs. Pontz are sisters of Mr. Clark.
