Description	:	MRS. JESSIE GOODE "Jack" BRYAN, 85, of Alachua died peacefully Monday morning, May 1, 2007 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Bryan was a lifelong resident of Alachua County, being born here in 1922. She was a graduate of both Alachua High School and Florida State College for Women. She taught home economics for two years and then devoted the rest of her life to her family and church. JESSIE GOODE "Jack" BRYAN, 85, of Alachua died peacefully Monday morning, May 1, 2007 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Bryan was a lifelong resident of Alachua County, being born here in 1922. She was a graduate of both Alachua High School and Florida State College for Women. She taught home economics for two years and then devoted the rest of her life to her family and church. Mrs. Bryan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alachua, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union (WMU). She was Past President and Life member of the Alachua Women's Club. Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Richard Earl Bryan of Alachua; daughter, Jesselyn M. Beck and her husband, Bill, of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Richard Bryan and his wife, Alice, of Alachua; her grandchildren, Glenn Bryan, Jesse Bryan, Jennifer Beck, Steven Beck; great-grandchildren, Nathan Bryan, Jackson Bryan, Jared Bryan, Emory Bryan, and Savannah Beck; her sister, Miriam G. Byrd of Live Oak, Fla. and three nieces. The family requests that Memorial Contributions may be made to either THE Alachua Woman's Club Restoration Fund, or to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, C/O First Baptist Church, Alachua, Fla. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Alachua, Fla. Burial followed in the Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua. Arrangements were under the care of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services in Gainesville, Fla.
