Read More	Thanks to contributor #47063246; Mrs. Otis Clark Dies This Morning at St. Mary's Mrs. Otis Clark, 69, died this morning at St. Mary's Hospital where she had been a patient for 2 days. As Jessie June Moore, daughter of the late Charles G. & Sarah E. (Dickinson) Moore, she was born 8 May 1877, Ottawa, Ill. A pioneer of Nebraska, she came from Ill. on * May 1880, at the age of 3 years, with the family & settled 4 miles north of Columbus on the monastery road which is now part of Lake Babcock. Her father ran brick yards there & bought land until he had accumulated 240 acres. On 25 Feb. 1897, she was married to Otis Clark at the home of her parents north of Columbus with the late Rev. Arthur J. Roger performing the ceremony. She & Mr. Clark purchased a farm 5 miles west of Columbus 9 years ago & last Mar. 1 retired from farming & moved into Columbus to reside at 1703-12th Street. Mrs. Clark had many hobbies, her favorite being flowers, birds & collection of dishes. Loved by all who knew her she had a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Neighborhood Kensington Club but because of ill health was unable to attend meetings the last few years. She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, George Clark of Baker, Ore. & Howard Clark, who farms the home place on Route 4; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lewis Harris of Columbus, Mrs. Vaud Harris of Rising City, & Mrs. Frank Morgan Jr. of Columbus; 2 grandchildren, Darold Harris of Los Angeles, Calif. & Lois June Morgan of Columbus; an 1 great-grandson, Douglas Vaud Harris. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gass Chapel with Rev. Walter Jackson, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the service. source: Columbus Telegram 11 May 1946
