Description	:	Jessie Mae Shawver went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. Jessie was born in Mankato, Minnesota to Claude and Claribel Saylor. The family moved to Montana, settling in the Brusett area. She attended grade school in the Brusett area and graduated from Garfield County High School. They moved back to Montana and... Read More	Jessie Mae Shawver went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. Jessie was born in Mankato, Minnesota to Claude and Claribel Saylor. The family moved to Montana, settling in the Brusett area. She attended grade school in the Brusett area and graduated from Garfield County High School. On October 8, 1938, Jessie married Ray Shawver in Miles City, Montana. They worked for her dad at his dairy in Jordan, Montana. They later moved to Idaho where Ray worked as a logger. They moved back to Montana and bought a ranch in the Brusett area. They farmed and ranched, and also raised their six children, Pat, Phil, Jack, Jean, Debbie, and Cheri. Jessie was a loyal member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, a member of the Alter Society, VFW Auxiliary, Civic Club, museum, Historical Society, Birthday Club, and the Home Demonstration Club. Jessie loved her family and friends. She also loved the girls at the Health Center who took such loving care of her. She loved working in her yard and the beautiful flowers she grew. Ray and Jessie sold the ranch and moved to Jordan in 1984. Ray and Jessie loved to travel, and especially enjoyed being "snowbirds" and spending the winter in Arizona. Jessie went to Germany when her oldest grandson got married and had a grand time. Ray and Jessie also enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends. Jessie wrote two historical books, Jackaroo Saga and Dusty Trails. She and her dear friend, Fern, compiled historical books on Garfield County. Jessie is survived by her children, Pat LaMoure of Salmon, ID, Phil (Darlene) Shawver of Jordan, MT, Jack Shawver of Jordan, MT, Jean Bryan of Gillette, WY, Debbie (Mike) Stocker of Salmon, ID, and Cheri (Tim) Hafla of Cohagen, MT; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, infant daughter Clara Rae, parents Claude and Claribel Saylor, her dear brother Woodrow Saylor, two grandsons Gus Bryan and Clyde Shawver, one great-grandchild Bridger LaMoure, two great-granddaughters Amy Lyn Shawver and Zoey Lyn Foster, one daughter-in-law Marlene Shawver, two son-in-laws Jerry Bryan and Buster LaMoure. A Vigil will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Jordan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Jordan. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery.
