Thank you, Bonnie! ------------------------- Monday afternoon at three o'clock, news spread over town like wild-fire, that Mrs. Jessie (Gray) Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gray, was dead. Mrs. Jackson had an attack of the flu several years ago and had never been in the best of health since. Last spring she was examined and found that she had tuberculosis and was taken to a sanitarium near Portland, Oregon where she was treated for it. For a time she seemed to get better, and seemed to entirely recover when all at once her condition became worse, and she became gradually worse until she passed away. Mrs. Jackson leaves behind to mourn her death, her husband George Jackson, father and mother; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Roberts and Mrs. Sam Sauls, and the whole town, who has seen her grow from girlhood into womanhood. The Gray family moved to Carson, Washington when the children were young. The funeral services were held at the Gray residence at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon, afterward the body was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carson, Washington. A large crowd attended the funeral and many beautiful floral piceces were placed on the grave. Published in the Skamania County Pioneer Newspaper, in Stevenson, WA on 13 March 1925.
