Read More	Transcribed from The Biographical and Historical Record of Wayne and Appanoose Counties Iowa Originally published 1886, Inter-State Publishing Company, Chicago, IL Jesse MARICK, of the firm Marick & Bullington, furniture dealers and cabinet-makers, Lineville, Iowa, was born in Monroe County, Ohio, November 1, 1840. His father, Henry Marick, was a native of New Jersey, and in 1855 brought his family to Iowa and settled in Jefferson Township, Wayne County, where he still lives. Jesse Marick remained with his parents till manhood, and then engaged in agricultural pursuits for himself until the fall of 1885, when he removed to Lineville and became associated with J. S. Bullington, in his present business. He has always been enterprising and industrious, and has been successful in whatever line of business he has engaged. He has served his township as trustee, clerk and assessor, and has always been a reliable and efficient public officer. Mr. Marick was married August 22, 1861, to Mary E. Hutchinson, daughter of Robert E. Hutchinson, a pioneer of Grand River Township. They have had five children, but three are living -- Isaac E., Clara E. and Marietta. Lucy E. died at the age of twenty-one years, and Augusta, aged two years. Mr. and Mrs. Marick are members of the Christian Union, and are among the most esteemed and prominent citizens of Lineville.
