Description	:	Mrs. Jessie Towe Semones, age 80, of 262 Mount View Drive, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Lexington County Memorial Hospital, West Columbia, S.C. Mrs. Semones was born December 31, 1918, in Carroll County, Va., to the late Jay Fulton Towe and Lena Westmoreland Towe. Mrs. Semones was a homemaker and active member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Cana, Va., having been a past choir director and served on various Boards in the church. Read More	Mrs. Jessie Towe Semones, age 80, of 262 Mount View Drive, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Lexington County Memorial Hospital, West Columbia, S.C. Mrs. Semones was born December 31, 1918, in Carroll County, Va., to the late Jay Fulton Towe and Lena Westmoreland Towe. Mrs. Semones was a homemaker and active member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Cana, Va., having been a past choir director and served on various Boards in the church. She was an active member of the Cana Golden Agers and current president of the club, and treasurer of the Southern Carroll Community Club in which she was also a member. She is survived by two daughters: Dr. Jeanne Semones of Smithfield, N.C. and Susan Semones Mahnke and husband, Kymric of Simpsonvill; two sons, Allen Semones and wife Carole of West Columbia, and Richard Semones and wife Gail of Danville, Va.; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Hiram Towe and wife Lydia of Cana, Va., Harrison Towe and wife Eva Sue of Mount Airy, N.C., Franklin Towe of Cana, Va., and Ernest M. Towe and wife Ella Mae of Hagerstown, Md. Also surviving are her stepmother Nettie Jackson Towe and a stepbrother Jim Jackson. Mrs. Semones leaves behind her beloved Golden Agers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Semones is preceded in death by husband Paul Allen Semones; and three brothers, Jay, Abe and Buford Towe. Funeral service was held Thursday, May 13, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Howell Funeral Chapel, Mount Airy, N.C., conducted by the Rev. Steven K. Rainey, with interment in Oakdale Cemetery, Mount Airy, N.C.
