Read More	Columbia City Commercial Mail - Whitley County, Indiana Monday October 24, 1932 Mrs. Jessie Marrs, 64, wife of Alva Marrs of Troy township, died at the family home at 8:30 o'clock Sunday night after an illness of nine years from heart disease. During the past five weeks she was confined to her bed. The decedent was born in Allen county on December 16, 1867 to the late Jacob and Mary Butt Sappington. When quite young she came to Whitley county with her parents where they settled on what is known as the old Sappington farm north of Larwill. On December 16, 1888 she was married to Alva Marrs. For many years the couple have resided on the Marrs farm four miles north of Larwill in Troy township. Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Clee Yontz of Elkhart; two sons, Frank and Jacob Marrs at home; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob Sappington of Larwill and John Sappington of Portland, Ore.; and five sisters; Mrs. Elizabeth Flickinger of Thorncreek township; Mrs. Anna King of Williston, Fla.; Mrs. Clara Bowerman, Mrs. Belle Goodrich and Mrs. Alice Terman, all of Wheatland, Wyoming. Mrs. Marrs was held in high regard throughout the community and had a large coterie of friends. She became a member of the United Brethren Church many years ago. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. N. C. McCoy of the local United Brethren church at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Adams cemetery.
