Grandchildren; Chris and Maranda Wood. Jewel Mae Henderson Mrs. Jewel Mae Henderson, age 76, of Briceville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at her home. She was born May 18, 1931, to the late Rev. Henry and Bernice Duncan. She was a member of Fraterville Baptist Church and loved to read, especially her Bible, and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She was a devoted Christian and set a very good example for her family and friends to live by. She enjoyed spending time with little children, especially the grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Henderson, and the father of her children, Duel Wood; two brothers, Wymer and Stanley Duncan; two sisters, Virginia Duncan and Norma Wheeler; two nephews, Allen Swicegood and Wayne Duncan; and niece, Amanda Wheeler. She is survived by three sons, George Wood of Henderson, Tenn., Jeff Wood and wife, Terry, of Rapid City, S.D., and Darrell Wood and wife, Janet, of Clinton, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Chris and Maranda Wood of Rapid City, S.D.; brother, Glenus and wife, Geri Duncan of Hammond, Ind.; sisters, Faye Patterson of Briceville, Tenn., and Evelyn Baker of Knoxville, Tenn.; special brother-in-Law, J.B. Baker of Knoxville, Tenn.; two nieces, four nephews, several great-nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 28, 2007, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Jackson-Oliver Mortuary in Oliver Springs. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Bro. Clayton Duncan officiating. A graveside service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Briceville.
