She was born January 1, 1915, at Wing, Arkansas to David and Polly Ann Green Spears. She was a homemaker and a member of the Briggsville United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arley Melton; three brothers; and four sisters.
