Jim was born January 9, 1936 in Columbus, Nebraska to Wayne H. and Clara (Synowski) Hoshor. Jim married Nancy Hamilton in Fremont in 1984. Read More	****************************** Jim A. Hoshor, 79 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home in Fremont. Jim was born January 9, 1936 in Columbus, Nebraska to Wayne H. and Clara (Synowski) Hoshor. Jim married Nancy Hamilton in Fremont in 1984. He was raised in Columbus and was a 1954 graduate of St. Bonaventure High School. Jim excelled in numerous sports and received many awards. He played baseball for the Columbus Colts in the semiprofessional pioneer night league in 1954, 1955 and 1956. He attended Doane College on a football scholarship and was a three sport athlete graduating in 1958. In June of 1958 he joined Fremont National Bank and Trust Company and began his forty seven year banking career. Jim retired in 1998 as Senior Vice President. He continued on the Board of Directors for several more years. Jim was a devoted community volunteer receiving numerous awards and recognition including Ak-Sar-Ben Ike Friedman for Community Leadership, Paul Kessenbrock Humanitarian from Doane College and Cosmopolitan Distinguished Service. He was president and member of Fremont Area Crime Stoppers for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council #1497, and past co-chairman of the auction committee for the Bergan Knights Fund raising dinners with wife, Nancy. He was an avid Husker and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He survived by his wife, Nancy of Fremont; son, Timothy and wife, Denise Hoshor of Fremont; daughters, Kimberlee and husband, Gary Petersen, Christine and husband, Allen Hansen and Kelly and husband, Todd Rynaski all of Omaha, Nebraska and Tina and husband, Curt Goodwin of Lindsborg, Kansas; grandchildren, Sam, Nick and Jake Hoshor, Nate and Grace Rynaski, Molly and husband, Zach Mazgaj, Andrew Klum, Matthew Hansen, Patrick and wife, Carrie Hansen, Chloe and Alex Goodwin and great grandchild, Hannah Mazgaj; and sister, Sharon Johnson of Kimball, Nebraska; and Patricia Hoshor of Fremont. He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Lawrence Hoshor. Memorial Mass 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 16. 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Father David Belt will officiate. Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 3 PM to 8 PM with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 P.M at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Family will be receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont, NE on Thursday.
