Born in Gaffney, He was the widower of the late Cynthia Mills Ruppe and the son of the late Albert Freeman Ruppe and Myrtle Irene Potter Ruppe. Mr. Ruppe was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ruppe; a sister, Patricia “Susie” Moore. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as working in his garden and feeding the birds. He loved spending time and caring for Shine-Shine, his beloved dog and best friend. Mr. Ruppe was retired from Spartan Express, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by, Michelle Goforth and husband, Ray of Shelby, NC and Angela Fowler and husband, Steven of Chesnee; four grandchildren, Haley Harris, Cody Fowler, Cassie Baker and husband, D.J. and Chaz Fowler and wife, Danielle; and five great-grandchildren, Kylie Hawkins, Trinity Baker, Seth Fowler, Zoey Fowler and Uriah Fowler. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Paul Scott officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
