Description	:	Jo Ann Wiley, 85, of Fairfield died at 11 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Jefferson County Health Center-Good Samaritan Hospice in Fairfield. Born July 22, 1925, in Davenport, she was the daughter of Cullen S. and Mary Johnson Murphy. Her mother died when she was born, and she was adopted by her uncle and aunt, Clarence and Ruth Humphrey Wiley, on Aug. 17, 1925. Miss Wiley did home heath care and housework for several families in the Douds area. She helped her sister, Mary Vehslage of Fairfield, care for her children. Read More	Jo Ann Wiley, 85, of Fairfield died at 11 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Jefferson County Health Center-Good Samaritan Hospice in Fairfield. Born July 22, 1925, in Davenport, she was the daughter of Cullen S. and Mary Johnson Murphy. Her mother died when she was born, and she was adopted by her uncle and aunt, Clarence and Ruth Humphrey Wiley, on Aug. 17, 1925. Miss Wiley did home heath care and housework for several families in the Douds area. She helped her sister, Mary Vehslage of Fairfield, care for her children. She cared for her adoptive father until his death. She moved to Country Lane Apartments in Keosauqua and later lived 14 years at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Vehslage Kann and Rachel Kemp, both of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, where family will receive friends. The funeral for Miss Wiley will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery, Douds. Memorials have been established for Leando Cemetery and Parkview Care Center.
