She was born on August 21, 1926 in Hedrick, Iowa to Marion Jackson and Katherine (Kriese) Craft. On May 21, 1944 she was united in marriage to Harold Keith Norris in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was born on August 21, 1926 in Hedrick, Iowa to Marion Jackson and Katherine (Kriese) Craft. On May 21, 1944 she was united in marriage to Harold Keith Norris in Ottumwa, Iowa. Joan was a lifetime resident of Hedrick, Iowa until moving to Alliance 4 years ago. She was a member of the Hedrick Christian Church, an over 60 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, various neighborhood clubs and the Land Improvement Contractors Association. For many years she worked with the Hedrick Community School Lunch Program. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking for her family and she was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her son-in-law, Denny Shimp, her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.
