Description	:	CLEATON, Mrs. Joan F., age 72, of South Hill, died Saturday, October 6, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Walter B. Cleaton, of the home; her mother, Mary E. Ferguson of South Hill; three sisters and their husbands, Jean F. and Herbert Farrar of South Hill, Doma F. and Bill Blalock of Baskerville, Mary Edith and Max Crowder of South Hill; and one brother and his wife, George R. and Christine Ferguson of Bracey. Mrs. Cleaton was a retired medical secretary for Dr. M. L.. Lacy, and a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. Marvin Clipp at Farrar Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Beth Farrar.
