Mrs. Cole, who was born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., on March 3, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Dollarschell) Mahoney, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City on Feb. 18, 1995. Mrs. Cole, who was born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., on March 3, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Dollarschell) Mahoney, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City on Feb. 18, 1995. She was married to Edward Pieters on Nov. 28, 1950, and survived him in death on Dec. 7, 1976. She was married in Peru on June 11, 1983, to Robert Cole, and precedes him in death. She is also survived by six daughters and six sons-in-law; three sons and two daughters-in-law; five stepsons; two stepdaughters; 23 grandchildren; 22 stepgrandchildren; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kathy Zegers; two brothers, Paul and John Mahoney; stepson Rick Cole; and stepgranddaughter, Tayller Cole. A former resident of Peru, Syracuse and Columbus, she moved to Nebraska City in 1990. She and her husband, Robert, previously owned and operated the Mustang Motel in Syracuse. She had been working in the dietary department at Valley View Care Center in Nebraska City. Pallbearers were Philip Bonk, David Bernt, Brian Zegers, Bert Cole, Rodney Mikkelsen and Dave Spitz. Burial is at Wyuka Cemetery. Marshall & Sons Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
