Joann, treasured, wife, loving mother, faithful sister and friend; loved unconditionally and cared deeply, always putting others first. The champion of the underdog, Jo had a leaning to care for those with physical and mental disabilities, the aged, and those challenged by birth defects. She enriched the lives of all those she encountered with her joyful, loving nature and witty sense of humor. She was an overcomer with a lust for life and a will for travel and adventure. Whether as mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin or friend, Jo made it her mission to keep the family connected by sending birthday cards, hosting gathering, passing pictures and newsflashes, calling and visiting folks around the country. While her absence is felt acutely, we will continue to be inspired by her to live our lives filled to the uttermost with laughter, love for one another, and a dedication to serving those who need us most. A memorial service will be held April 13th, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, Conroe, TX at 3:00 pm. Interment and memorial will be held April 27, 2019 at Mt Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 2:00pm
