Joann graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1956 and had worked in the laundry at Ottumwa Regional Health Center for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing and watching her favorite movies and TV shows. She loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Collier; a daughter, Melinda Collier; a sister, Eva Sipes; four brothers, John Richard, Wilbur, Gilbert, and Jerry Paxton. Her body has been cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating.
