Description	:	JoAnn M. Plorin Stewart, age 81 of West Fargo was called to her heavenly home on Feb 11, 2019 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Her funeral will be held at a later date with burial at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau. JoAnn, daughter of John and Mathilda (Tillie) Reinke, was born on Jan 22, 1938 and was raised in Gardena, ND. She married her high school sweetheart, Curtis A. Plorin on Feb 15, 1958. They made their home in Gardena and later moved to Bottineau where Curt worked for North Central Electric and JoAnn worked at First National Bank. Curt and JoAnn were blessed with three children, Wayne, Kelly, and Doug. Their greatest joy was following their children's many extracurricular activities but in particular, Bottineau Hockey. After Curt passed away in 1985, JoAnn moved to Fargo where she worked for Cass County Social Services until her retirement. JoAnn met and fell in love with James Stewart of West Fargo and they married Dec 3, 2005. They enjoyed playing cards, bingo and socializing with friends, but their greatest joy was extended visits with children and grandchildren across the country. JoAnn was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bottineau and also Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo during her time there. JoAnn's strong faith and love of her family carried her through both good and difficult times in her life. She is survived by her husband James Stewart, West Fargo, her children Wayne (Rosemary) Plorin of Nashville, TN, Kelly (Dave) Thiele of Bismarck, ND, Doug (Nenita) Plorin of Vista, CA, and brother Gary (Myrna) Reinke of Tucson, AZ. Five grandchildren, Paige (Blaine) Thompson of Grand Forks, Kyle (Eric) Teller of Lawrence, KS, Taylor and Lauren Plorin of Vista, CA, Lyla Plorin of Nashville, TN and one great-grandson, Holt Thompson of Grand Forks. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Plorin and her parents, John and Tillie Reinke. The family is grateful for the loving kindness and care JoAnn received in the memory care unit at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
