Description	:	On September 11, 2018, Joann left this world unexpectedly. We are all saddened and miss our mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is survived by siblings, Jay Anderson, Nancy Lindell (Thom), Patti Mae (Milton), Ron Anderson (Michele), and Rick Anderson (Linda), and children, Karen Laqua (Loren), Chris Vogl (Nena), and Leslie Tomlin (Scott), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She excelled in life, sharing her music and positive community spirit wherever she called home. From church organist pianist to video/book group she shared her love of family and music. We are all saddened and miss our mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is survived by siblings, Jay Anderson, Nancy Lindell (Thom), Patti Mae (Milton), Ron Anderson (Michele), and Rick Anderson (Linda), and children, Karen Laqua (Loren), Chris Vogl (Nena), and Leslie Tomlin (Scott), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She excelled in life, sharing her music and positive community spirit wherever she called home. From church organist pianist to video/book group she shared her love of family and music. Ask her to help or join in the fun, she always responded with a resounding “yes” which included a smile and offer to know what else she can do. We miss her immensely, but our hearts remain full of her kind caring ways. We love you Mom, Joann! Born December 1, 1940 in central Montana to a family with eight children. She excelled throughout her school years academically and socially with music, Rainbow Girls, and valedictorian of the Lewistown High School 1958 graduating class. Upon graduation, she earned a nursing degree and started her most important and fulfilling family life in Lewistown; three children born in succession with Karen in 1961, Chris in 1962 and Leslie in 1963. Her new family moved to Bozeman while the children were young in support of career goals. Eventually life changed and she switched to business and banking while in Billings and then on to Hardin with family always the focus. Music was her joy throughout and she played piano at every opportunity throughout her life despite a limiting medical condition. She continued in her community life with Eastern Star reaching leadership as Worthy Matron. She eventually retired with her husband, David Lehman, to a blessed mountain home near Nye MT where they spent many happy years sharing their home with family every opportunity. With the passing of David in 2016, Joann joined the Aspen View retirement community. She was apprehensive, but quickly became a part of her new community making many friends and volunteering in library maintenance, movie night venue, church organist, and any music group needing a pianist. As she was preparing for a day of piano playing for a 9/11 music celebration with her Aspen View family, Joann quietly passed to the hands God. She is loved by all and will be miss immensely.
