Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Home for Funerals in Norfolk. ——— Joanne was born July 16, 1929, at Orchard, the daughter of Glen and Emma (Solman) McNabb. She began her schooling in Orchard and then moved with her family to Omaha where she completed her education. Joanne married Robert Tibbs and they moved to Norfolk. She was married to Don Zicht until his death. Joanne married James Crotty on Sept. 19, 1971, in Las Vegas and made their home in Norfolk. She worked for Norfolk IGA and then for the Norfolk Country Inn for 20 years until she retired, where she was known as Maude or Jo. Joanne is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Linda and LaVerne Mueller of Norfolk, Sharon and Dennis Koehler of Norfolk, and Roberta Kirstine of Pierce; stepchildren Lonnie and Linda Luikens; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren as well as a great-great-stepgrandchild. No one was ever a stranger to Maude, but she was gifted with a few, extra special families: Vern Turley, a very special love in her life for 10 years, and his children. Bob Crosier, Leanne and Terry Hochstein also shared a special place in her heart as her extended family. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Don Zicht and James Crotty; one sister, Fern Quigley; and two brothers, Lyle McNabb and Dale McNabb and Donna Luikens.
