Mrs. Chapman was born January 28, 1944, to the late Alvin Walker Hoppers and Eula Mae Jones. Mrs. Chapman worked at Union University, in the library. She was a member of Springville Baptist Church in Springville, TN. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Visitation will be Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Bells, TN. Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Jimmy Chapman; a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna Chapman-Barker (Bret); two grandchildren, Elise and Tristan Barker; one brother, Larry Hoppers (Billie Jean); two sisters, Judy Brown (Terry) and Barbara Dotson; several nieces and nephews.
