Description	:	Joanne (Walker) Brown, 81, of Beaverton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. She was born April 30, 1930, in Fairview, W.V., to Harry "Joe" and Mary Walker. She and her family moved to Michigan in 1937. She married Dale G. Brown on Oct. 20, 1950, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death in 1998. Joanne worked at Perry's IGA in Beaverton for over 25 years and was the co-owner of Lou & Jo's Fashion & Fabrics in Beaverton with her sister, Lucille. Read More	Joanne (Walker) Brown, 81, of Beaverton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. She was born April 30, 1930, in Fairview, W.V., to Harry "Joe" and Mary Walker. She and her family moved to Michigan in 1937. She married Dale G. Brown on Oct. 20, 1950, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death in 1998. Joanne worked at Perry's IGA in Beaverton for over 25 years and was the co-owner of Lou & Jo's Fashion & Fabrics in Beaverton with her sister, Lucille. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, eating out and shopping. She and her husband, Dale, wintered in the south of Texas for over 20 years. She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3292 Auxiliary in Gladwin. Joanne is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Robert) Weaver of Gladwin, and Linda K. Brown of Beaverton. She has two beloved grandchildren, Tracy L. Jehnsen of Beaverton, and Michael (Angie) Bassage of Beaverton. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Gregory, Brenden, Sean, Makayla, Averie and Alieah. She is also survived by her sister, Erma Perry; brother-in-law, Richard Roehrs; and sister-in-law, Martha Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry "Joe" and Mary Walker; her husband, Dale; sister, Lucille Roehrs; brothers-in-law, Warren Perry and Robert Brown; and sister-in-law, Hazel Wright Lamb. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at 12 p.m., with visitation at 1-9 p.m. this evening, at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverton Athletics Fund, c/o Beaverton High School or the Beaverton Lion's Club endowment fund. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com.
