Description	:	Jody Lynn Eriksen Our dear sister, niece, cousin and aunt, Jody Lynn Eriksen, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 in Puyallup. She was born to Doris I. (Sunnen) Eriksen in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, on March 28, 1955, while her father W. Keith Eriksen was stationed there during the Korean War. Read More	Jody Lynn Eriksen Our dear sister, niece, cousin and aunt, Jody Lynn Eriksen, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 in Puyallup. She was born to Doris I. (Sunnen) Eriksen in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, on March 28, 1955, while her father W. Keith Eriksen was stationed there during the Korean War. She grew up in Puyallup, attending Edgemont Elementary through third grade. The family moved to Kent where she attended East Hill Elementary and Kent Junior High Schools. She began 10th grade at Kent-Meridian High School, but did not finish, later obtaining a GED certificate. In her 20s, she worked as a housecleaner and at several clerical jobs, but her developing mental illness prevented further employment. She was briefly married in the late 1970's, but had no children then or later. She lived in several cities over the years in Pierce and King Counties, including Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, and Tacoma. She greatly enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking as hobbies. She was very fond of animals, and kept two cats in her apartment for many years, being survived by her feline companions Percy and Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents (above) and survived by brother Jeff Eriksen (Portland, OR), sister Jennifer Taylor (Puyallup), nephews Michael Tozer (Puyallup), Jeffrey Tozer (Seattle), and Adam Eriksen (Corvallis, OR), niece Salena Taylor, aunt Marie Phelps (Sumner), uncle Patrick Sunnen (Orting) and five first cousins. Jody had a good sense of humor, an incredible memory, was generous to a fault, and was thoughtful and caring to others. We all miss her dearly. Visitation will be at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W Pioneer Ave, Puyallup, 253-845-0536, 8:30-9:25 am, Saturday, April 29. A funeral service will follow at 9:30 am at the same location, followed by a procession to Sumner Cemetery for burial.
