Description	:	Joe Carson, born November 22, 1930, of LaFollette, passed away on Dec. 17 at his home. He was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church and of the Joy Sunday School Class. Joe retired from AT and T after 38 years of service. He served in the 1st Cavalry Division of the United States Army during the Korean War and served six years in the Army Reserve. He was also a member of the Campbell County Shrine Club and of the Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Edna Carson. He is survived... Read More	Joe Carson, born November 22, 1930, of LaFollette, passed away on Dec. 17 at his home. He was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church and of the Joy Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Carson; sons, Joe Richard Carson and Timothy Carson and wife, Allie Carson; grandchildren, Melissa Carson, Amanda Carson Smiddy and husband, Slade Smiddy, Steven Carson, Sarah Carson, Tanner Carson; great-grandson, Carson Smiddy; brother, Boyd Carson and wife, Barbara Carson. Funeral services were held Dec. 20 at the LaFollette United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenny Faught officiating. Interment was in the Powell Valley Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to LaFollette United Methodist Church, 808 East Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766.
