Description	:	Joe Ervin Jordan, age 74, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the son of Ernest William and Swanetta Augusta (Hinders) Jordan on April 26, 1941, in Clarksville. He was baptized into the Christian faith and later confirmed at Immanuel Church of Christ in Clarksville. He graduated from the Clarksville High School in 1958. On December 28, 1958, Joe was united in marriage with Faye Irene Schneiderman at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Read More	Joe Ervin Jordan, age 74, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the son of Ernest William and Swanetta Augusta (Hinders) Jordan on April 26, 1941, in Clarksville. He was baptized into the Christian faith and later confirmed at Immanuel Church of Christ in Clarksville. He graduated from the Clarksville High School in 1958. On December 28, 1958, Joe was united in marriage with Faye Irene Schneiderman at Immanuel United Church of Christ. The couple made their home in Clarksville and where they lived their entire marriage. Joe worked at Scheild Bantam Company for 30 years and the following 10 years he worked as a Supervisor Designer at GMT both in Waverly. Through his working years he trained many young workers and took great pride in his travels to Japan for Scheild Bantam. He also did many carpentry projects for local home owners and his own as well. Joe was a lifelong member of Immanuel United Church of Christ where he helped with the maintenance for many years. Joe sang and played guitar for a country western bands and played in many communities in the area. He enjoyed many fishing trips with his family and friends to the Mississippi River and debating politics very often. His pride and joy was his family and he especially loved mentoring his grandchildren. Joe died at his home in Clarksville on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, from complications of cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents. Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Jordan of Clarksville; one son, Bill Jordan of Waterloo; one daughter Cindy (Ron) Hunt of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Cliff (Margo) Nieman, Cody Nieman, Heather (Kody) Breitbach, Jessica Jordan and Anna Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Zach, Nicole, Julia, Cory and Samantha; four step grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren two brothers, Larry (Kay) Jordan of Clarksville, and Steve (Shirley) Jordan of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ with burial in the Lynwod Cemetery both in Clarksville.
