Xavier was the youngest. His sister's name was Catherine. We have found that his brothers changed the spelling of Joerger after they came to America. However, John did not. When John was 24 years old, he left his little village of Baden. On September 28, 1839 he arrived in New York City. Thence to Utica, New York.
