Jetter, who for a number of years has made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Peter Johansen, Jr., died last Wednesday. Mr. Jetter was a native of Germany. Jetter, who for a number of years has made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Peter Johansen, Jr., died last Wednesday. Mr. Jetter was a native of Germany. In 1865, at the age of thirty-three, he came to Clinton county, Iowa, which was his home for many years. Since the death of his wife he had made his home in Jones county, where he followed the trade of a stone mason. His illness was of short duration, pneumonia being the cause of his death. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Chris Dethman of Hood River, Oregon, and Mrs. Carsten Kettlesen of Monticello, Iowa. Funeral services were held from the Johansen home northeast of town on Friday, November 17th, which were conducted by Rev. G. E. Melchert, with burial at North Madison. NOTE: Daughter's obit states her mother passed away when she was 3 years old....would have been approximately 1871. Have not been able to locate where wife and mother to this family is buried. Dethman received news last week of the death of her father, John Jetter, of Center Junction, Iowa. Mr. Jetter, who is survived by one other daughter, a resident of Iowa, was 78 years old.
