Description	:	Able to be out chopping wood a few days earlier, 81 year old John Koehn died Thursday afternoon and was buried Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery. Alternately confined to bed and able to be about, he had been sick for three months at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Kuesel of Lincoln township. Two ministers had charge of last rites, the Rev. R. P. Young of St.John's churdh in Lincoln township conducting a ceremony at the home at noon and preaching the German service at the Williamsburg church at 1:30, the Rev. T. H. Joeckel giving the English sot-vice and the ceremony at the grave. A native of Germany, Mr. Koehn was born Sept. 19, 1855, in Mecklenburg,moving to Lincoln ship in 1883 and marrying Minnie Schultz Jan. 10, 1885. They moved to Williamsburg in 1919. Mr. Koehn, who had been baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, served as an elder for three termsin the Lincoln township Lutheran church. Mrs. Koehn died 11 years ago two of 13 children also preceding him in death. Surviving are six sons— William and John of Atkins, Henry and Carl of Victor, Otto of Williamsburg, and Elmer of Cedar Rapids; five daughters — Mrs. Kuesel, Mrs. August Baethke and Mrs. 0tto Neuhaus of Victor, Mrs. Gus Knock and Mrs. 0. E. Mumm of Williamsburg; and 24 grandchildren. There is also a brother.
