Mrs. Johanna Naaf, neee Hohn, was born in Hohnrath, Rhine Province Germany, on May 5, 1860 to Carl and Henrietta Hohn, nee Bruensbach. She came to the United States whith her parents in 1865 and first settled in Illinois. They moved to Kansas in April 1869 and lived on a farm in the Mission Creek community. She lived in that community until moving to Marysville five years ago. On May 17, 1874 she received the rite of Confirmation and later became a member of St. John's Evangelical church at Mission Creek. After moving to this city she had her membership transferred. She leaves to mourn her passing five children: Otto Naaf, Beattie; Mrs. Bertha Schneider, Beattie; Mrs. Hilda Krotsch, Marysville; Mrs. Augusta Schneider, Wymore, Nebr.; and Mrs. Alma Link, Marysville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. (Thanks goes to Researcher Barbara Schwartz for sending this for her memorial.)
