| Description | : | Johanna Magretha Halvorsdatter was born to Halvor Torrisen and Margrethe Hansdatter in August, 1839, in Kvinnherad, Hordaland, Norway. She immigrated with her parents and six siblings to the United States from the Musland farm in 1854. She married William Schrimper, a German immigrant, on 27 February 1857. She had a son, Christian, born in 1858. The exact date of her death is not yet known, but the 1860 Mortality Schedule indicates she died in September of 1859 of typhoid fever in Spring Grove, Linn County, Iowa. |
