Description	:	John and Marie Torrison Aarestad, Sr. John Aarestad Sr. of Cooperstown, and Marie Torrison Aarestad of rural McHenry, came to McHenry in 1922, living just north of the schoolhouse, and then moving to the Bostrom house in 1931, where their son John Jr. now resides. John Sr., a farmer, a cattle buyer, and a real estate dealer, purchased the City Meat Market (still its trade name) from John Dierdorff in 1922.
