Services will be held Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, with the Rev. Leonard Eckroth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was raised on a farm west of Strasburg. John worked on the West Coast before his marriage to Cecilia Unser. John and Cecilia were married Oct. 14, 1940, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed west of Strasburg. They retired and moved into Strasburg in 1978. John was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and The Strasburg Senior Citizens. He also served on the Emmons County School Board Association. John enjoyed yard work, gardening, carpentry work, being a "handyman" and spending time with his family and friends. Grateful to have shared his life are his two sons and two daughters-in-law, Anton and Jane Reinbold, Aurora, Ill., and Daniel and Cindy Reinbold, Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Irene Herr, Waterloo, Iowa, and Donna and Ken Schneider, Linton; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Theresa Wagner, Strasburg; and five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eleanor Wagner, Mandan, Katie and Joe Feist, Linton, Johanna Vetter, Bismarck, Theresa Reis, Bismarck, Monica Senger, Fargo, and Joe Senger of Bismarck. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Cecilia in August 2004; twin sons, John and Cyril; and several brothers and sisters. Published in The BismarckTribune on 11/13/2004.
