Young, about 58, well known citizen of the Bassett community and for many years an employee of one of the furniture plants in that city, died this morning at 8 o'clock at Shackelford's Hospital of a fractured skull and other injuries, the result of an automobile accident occurring on West Church Street Saturday afternoon. Youngs' remains were turned over to a Bassett undertaking establishment this morning and prepared for burial. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at Mayo, the former home of the deceased. Burial will follow in the family burial plot nearby. Surviving are several children, all of Bassett. Two brothers, Rufus Young of Bassett and C. A. Young of Rocky Mount, in addition to a sister, also remain. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago. === The paper dated Fri., Sept. 21st, p. 6. col. 2, contained the following additional information. He was 56 years old. He had been employed in one of Bassett's furniture industries for a number of years. His wife preceded him to the grave in 1931. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Royal Mitchell, High Point, N.C.; Jack Young, High Point; Mrs. Lee Cecil, Mrs. David Southern, Thomas L., Judson L. and Miss Sunshine Young, all of Bassett; two brothers, T. R. Young of Bassett and Charles Young of Rocky Mount, and one sister, Miss Lizzie Young of Bassett also remain. The deceased was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. ===
