He lived on his father's homestead in the part of Enfield known as Wollop. Married June 21, 1854, EUNICE ELIZA FULLER, bom September 26, 1825, daughter of Gorham and Eunice (Chapin) Fuller. She was living in Enfield in 1905. "Inscription: Aged 62; Eliza E., his wife Note: Linden, Lucy E, Alice L, Raymond C., Ruth W, Edith L, Leslie M, & Opal W listed on other sides of monument" Children 1 - John Fuller Abbe, b. Aug. 31, 1855; d. March 4, 1901. Married Dec. 7, 1882, Sophia T. Beach of Hazardville, Conn., who d. Jan. 19, 1893. Children: i. Harriet Louise, b. Aug. 11, 1884, was living in Norwich, Conn., in 1905, m. April 12. 1906. Frederick H. Bowen, has children, Frederick Raymond, b. June 25, 1907, and Ralph Heald, b. May 18. 1909 ; ii. Alice Elizabeth, b. April 29, 1887, m. March 18. 1909, Chester I. Clough ; iii. Raymond John, b. July 26, 1889, d. June 30, 1892 ; iv. Mabel Eunice, b. Feb. 6, 1891, d. July 2, 1892. 2 - Clarence Morehouse Abbe (twin) ,b. Oct. 5, 1857 ; resides in Greenfield, Mass. Married March 15, 1893, Fanny W. Hale, b. in Northfield, Mass., Dec. 23, 1864, daughter of Adolphus L. and Caroline (Wright) Hale. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Children : i. Mary Newcomb, b. Feb. 8, 1895 ; ii. J. Warren, b. Nov. 23, 1896. 3 - Clinton Chapin Abbe (twin), b. in Enfield, Oct. 5, 1857; lives in Sodus, N. Y. ; m. Nov. 25. 1896, Emma lola Shirtz. Children : i. Helen Eliza, b. Oct. 4, 1897 ; ii. John Stanley, b. Aug. 9, 1899 ; iii. Frances, b. March 15, 1902. 4 - Alice Lavinia Abbe, b. April 2, 1859. Resides in Hazardville, Conn. 5 - Linden Seymour Abbe. b.
