Description	:	John Adam Kennerly Holman, COPE Funeral services for John Adam Kennerly Holman, 98, of the Cope community, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006, at Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Cope with the Rev. Tommy Richardson and the Rev. Chuck Wells officiating. Burial will be in Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Craven, Ken Gillam, Wesley Craven, Ben Reed, Dean Barkenhagen, Wady Zisset, and Dennis Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Holman was one of 10 children, a son of the late Julius Caesar Holman and the late Lilly Viola Whetstone Holman. He was a lifelong member of Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church; a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. He served in the National Guard for 19-1/2 years and was a farmer and a carpenter. He was the widower the late Julia Alberta Byrd Holman and was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law Mary H. Craven; Johnette H. and Lang Smoak, all of Orangeburg; stepdaughter, Miriam B. Vandarore of St. Matthews; one sister; Mrs. Gloria H. Funchess of Orangeburg; one brother and sister-in-law; William Marvin and Molly Holman of Branchville; 11 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
