Guernsey home near Haigler, Nebraska. He had been ailing for several months. He was 83 years, one month and eight days old. The funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock at the Colver Brothers Funeral Home with N.F. Horn, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was made in the Holyoke Cemetery. John Alanson Bradley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alanson Bradley, was born at Valparaiso, Indiana, February 9, 1856. He spent his early life in Indiana. When he was a young man, and following the death of his father, he moved with his mother to Nebraska and located at Wahoo. He was married to Miss Emma Bruce at Wahoo, Nebraska in 1888. In the spring of 1892, the Bradley family moved to Colorado and located on a homestead near Holyoke. Two years later, Mrs. Bradley died. The deceased had made his home with his nephew, C.A. Guernsey, and family near Haigler, Nebraska the last 20 years. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge. Survivors are his son, Charles Bradley, of Rochford, South Dakota; a sister, Mrs. Alice Black of Long Beach, California; two nephews, C.A. Guernsey of Haigler, Nebraska and C.M. Guernesy of Holyoke; three nieces, Mrs. W.E. Johnston of Holyoke, Mrs. J.B. Perdieu of Goodland, Kansas, and Mrs. Jessie Sheridan of Sheridan Lake; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. J.B. Perdieu and her daughter, Mrs. W.S. Conner, of Goodland, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Guernsey and children of Haigler, Nebraska and Mrs. Jessie Sheridan of Sheridan Lake. Parents: Rachael Margaret (Jones) Bradley-Mason-Kipling and Alanson P. Bradley.
