Description	:	Former Citizen Dead On June the 23rd, 1928, occurred the death of John Albert Barker of Bismark, North Dakota. He was the eldest son of George and Melissa Bean Barker, formerly of Adams County, Iowa. John was born and was reared in Adams County, Iowa, receiving an elementary education in the common schools of Adams County. He was united in marriage to Eva Jane Dewees of Carbon, Iowa on October 30, 1895 in Corning, Adams County, Iowa. Read More	Former Citizen Dead On June the 23rd, 1928, occurred the death of John Albert Barker of Bismark, North Dakota. He was the eldest son of George and Melissa Bean Barker, formerly of Adams County, Iowa. John was born and was reared in Adams County, Iowa, receiving an elementary education in the common schools of Adams County. He was united in marriage to Eva Jane Dewees of Carbon, Iowa on October 30, 1895 in Corning, Adams County, Iowa. To this union were born eight children, four boys and four girls, all of whom survive him, except the youngest girl, Helen DeLorous. John was converted to the Christian religion years ago and while quite a young man united with the United Brethren Church. During all his life the Bible was a source of comfort. He spoke from his death bed that he still had faith in the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Adams County, Iowa, October 21at, 1870 died June 23, 1928, aged 57 years, 8 months, and 2 days.
