Description	:	BENTON - John Albert Clifford of Benton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007.He was born in Benton on May 1, 1930, the son of Harold and Marguerite (Stinchfield) Clifford.John married the former Valnice Clement and shared many years together until her death in 1989. He was employed by the Department of Transportation for 21 years before retiring. John enjoyed fellowship at the Winnecook Christian Church in Burnham, where he was always warmly welcomed. Read More	BENTON - John Albert Clifford of Benton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007.He was born in Benton on May 1, 1930, the son of Harold and Marguerite (Stinchfield) Clifford.John married the former Valnice Clement and shared many years together until her death in 1989. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Valnice; a brother, George Clifford; and a sister, Marion Liberty. John will be sadly missed by his two sons, John Steven Clifford and his wife, Coleen, and their children, Katie, Christy, Sarah, Amy, and Stephanie, all of Benton and Dan Clifford and his wife, Donna, and their children, Cody and Leah, all of Roseburg, Ore.; his stepchildren, Jeff Knox, Rita White, Brenda Buzzell, and Chucky Knox; his siblings, Harolyn Clifford and his wife, Marge, of Waterville, Roger "Babe" Clifford of Benton, Ellen Holt of Skowhegan, and Allen Clifford and his wife, Goldie, of Canaan; and many nieces and nephews.
