Published Centerville Daily Iowegian in Centerville, Iowa on Wed., Oct. 20, 1948 page 13 in columns 5 and 6 OBITUARY John Albert, only son of Reuben and Sophia Wright, was born January 5, 1974, and departed. this life at his home two miles south of Cincinnati, Sunday, October 3, 1948, at 8:35 a.m., being at the time of his death 74 years, 8 months and 28 days of age. On December 24, 1895, he was united in marriage with Mary Almina Riggle, who together the following children survives: Mrs. Ora Walker, Richmond, California; Mrs. Ruth Patterson, Mrs. Lola Patterson and Paul Wright, all of Centerville; Mrs. Bertha Bauman, North Branch, Michigan; Boyd Wright, David Wright and Mrs. Mary McCannon, all of Cincinnati. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Bitha McCoy and Miss Effie Wright of Des Moines and Mrs. Ella Mc Keehan of Loveland, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and three sons, John and Carl dying at an early age, and Reuben at the age of 26. He accepted Christ many years ago and continued faithful to the end being a loyal supporter of the Methodist church. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Cincinnati at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. S. P. Trostle of Tracy, assisted by Rev. Wyant of Cincinnati. Mr and Mrs. Ted Corder, Mrs. John Atkinson and R. O. Hunt, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Mable Huffman, sang “Going Down the Valley”, “No Tears in Heaven” and “Jesus Savior Pilot Me.” Burial was made in the family lot at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
