Description	:	JOHN 8th child of Horatio and Sally (Keen) Loud Mr. John Allen Loud was born and raised in Weymouth to Horatio Loud (1790-1825) and Sally Ann (Keen) Loud (1792-1846). He was less than 4 years old when his father died. Before and after the Civil War, he was Operator of the Edge Tool Manufacturing Co. in Weymouth. He enrolled in Co. "A" 42nd Regiment of Massachusetts Vol. Infantry on Sep. 3, 1862. He was also in Co. "G" of 4 Regiment of Heavy Artillery. He was 5 feet 6 inches tall, blue eyes, brown hair and ruddy complexion. Apr. 11, 1908 2. Sarah Palmer Loud b. May 22, 1843 d. before May 5, 1844 (died infant) 3. Sarah Ann Loud b. May 5, 1844 but no other record was found of her After Eliza's death in 1872, John married in Weymouth, MA., Jan. 1, 1873, Susan Rice (French) Stackpole, widow of Oliver B. Stackpole, and daughter of George and Chloe (Lincoln) French. She was born Oct. 21, 1825, and died in Weymouth, Nov. 19, 1907. Biography courtesy of C.
