He was born March 24, 1909, to Obed R. and Mabel (Miller) Stanford, at Manson, where he attended school. He married Nellie Davis on June 15, 1928, at Wenatchee. They lived in Manson except for a few years during World War II when they lived in Anacortes, where Mr. Stanford worked at the A.K. Woods sawmill. He was born March 24, 1909, to Obed R. and Mabel (Miller) Stanford, at Manson, where he attended school. He married Nellie Davis on June 15, 1928, at Wenatchee. Upon returning to Manson, Mr. Stanford took over the family orchard, which he owned and operated until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles. Mr. Stanford is survived by four sons, Leroy of Spokane, Roger of Moses Lake, and Earl and Wayne, both of Manson; two daughters, Doris Moon of Malaga, and Arlene Evavold of Sumner; 26 grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
