| Description | : | Cenotaph here After their first two children, Emily and Reasor, were born (abt 1819), they left Kentucky and crossed the Ohio River in John's own canoe, returned to Kentucky to get their furniture, then marched up the bank on the Indiana side of the Ohio River, where John found nothing but laurel where the city of New Albany now stands.
