Heart trouble was the cause of his death. He had been ill for six years and for the last seven months he had been bedfast. He was born in Yorkshire, England, July 14, 1850, the son of John and Hannah Andrew. He came to America when a young man and was married on March 17, 1880. He was a resident of Burlington for seventeen years and of Des Moines County since 1870. He retired from farm life and settled in Burlington seventeen years ago. He is survived by his widow, two sisters in England and three sons and three daughters. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at four o'clock from the family residence on South Twelfth Street with Rev. R. W. Jamieson of the United Presbyterian Church in charge. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
