Description	:	John Andrew Bucy was born Aug. 31, 1871, to James K. and Mariah Bucy and departed this life on March 31, 1965, at the Ringgold county hospital. Mr. Bucy had owned and operated his farm home at Tuskeego for the past 59 years. John was united in marriage to Adeline May Driskill on Aug. 18, 1895, and to this union were born 10 children. He was preceded in death by his companion on Aug. 3, 1957; one daughter, Edna Purcell on April 1, 1961, and an infant son. Those left to mourn his passing are his eight children,... Read More	John Andrew Bucy was born Aug. 31, 1871, to James K. and Mariah Bucy and departed this life on March 31, 1965, at the Ringgold county hospital. Mr. Bucy had owned and operated his farm home at Tuskeego for the past 59 years. John was united in marriage to Adeline May Driskill on Aug. 18, 1895, and to this union were born 10 children. He was preceded in death by his companion on Aug. 3, 1957; one daughter, Edna Purcell on April 1, 1961, and an infant son. Those left to mourn his passing are his eight children, Pearle Smith, Christina Wadley, Gertrude Payton and Roy Bucy, all of Lamoni, Verna French of Richmond, Mo., Velva Sinco of Corydon, Oscar of Leon, and Andrew of Lexington, Neb., also 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Van Howling of Plainview, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bucy had the privilege of sharing 62 years of married life together. Both were members of the Baptist church and accompanied their children to Sunday school and church down through the years. He was a kind and loving father and will be sadly missed by his family. Funeral services were held Friday, April 1, at the Stewart Funeral home in Lamoni with Rev. E. C. Vanderpool in charge. Burial was in the Lillie cemetery.
