He was united in marriage to Margaret Alice Wheeland of Chillicothe, Ohio, in 1876, To this union were born eight children, five of whom with Mrs. Kidd preceded him in death. Kidd John Armstrong Kidd was born at Meigsville, Morgan County, Ohio, November 12, 1853 and died at Ong Nebraska, December 7, 1934 at the age of 81 years and 25 days. He was united in marriage to Margaret Alice Wheeland of Chillicothe, Ohio, in 1876, To this union were born eight children, five of whom with Mrs. Kidd preceded him in death. They were: Mabel, Joe, Carl, Pearl and Paul. Mr. Kidd came to Nebraska on April 28, 1878. He was one of the early pioneers. He taught school for a number of years after coming to Nebraska. He spent most of his life on the farm northeast of Edgar and in Ong. He leaves to mourn his departure two brothers, Charles of Beckwith, Ohio and Robert of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Russell of Kansas City, Mo., and Clarence of Sutton, Nebr., and one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Lindgren, of Edgar and six grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev J. M. Herrmann, assisted by Rev Hix at the M. E. Church of Edgar at 2:30 p.m., Monday December 10. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
