McClellan Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was born Feb. 10, 1936, at Neely to Walter J. and Grace Dean Mahan George. He was a U.S. Army disabled veteran serving in England as a medic. He was preceded in death by his father, "Bill" George; and his wife of 17 years, Kathryn George. Survivors include his mother, Dean George of Dardanelle; a son, Johnny Dale George of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters and son-in-law, Tina Louise Osborne of Las Vegas, Nev., and Patty Ann and Mark Allen Shockley of Atkins; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Carol George of Dardanelle; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Wayne Bolin of Maumelle; half-sisters, Mary Hickerson of Tulsa, Okla., and Pat DuVall of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, Dustin Carl Osborne of Las Vegas, Nev., Jason Keith Osborne of Del Rio, Texas, Billy Jack Osborne of Las Vegas, Nev., Johnathan David Osborne of Magnolia, Jeremy Andrew Alvarez of Russellville, Alex Alvarez of Russellville, A1C Joshua Alvarez of Abilene, Texas, Jessica Ashley Alvarez of Laredo, Texas; great-granddaughter, Sophia Osborne of Las Vegas, Nev.; great-grandson, Caden Gage Pope of Russellville and another one on the way; and numerous other family and friends. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Cornwell Chapel with the Rev. Peggy Foster officiating. Burial will be in Mount George Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Northwest Arkansas Military Honors Team. Pallbearers: Jeremy Alvarez, Joshua Alvarez, Jonathan David Osborne, Scott George, Dustin Carl Osbsorne, Jason Keith Osborne and Billy Jack Osborne. Honorary pallbearers: Alex Alvarez. Memorial donations may be made to Russellville Missionary Baptist Church, 210 John Thomas Trusty Lane, Russellville, AR 72801. Arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home.
