Born Nov. 7, 1918, at Marion, the son of John A. and Mabelle Woodward Beeson, he spent his life in Marion. He was graduated from Marion high school in 1936 and from the A.I.B. college in Des Moines. Born Nov. 7, 1918, at Marion, the son of John A. and Mabelle Woodward Beeson, he spent his life in Marion. He was graduated from Marion high school in 1936 and from the A.I.B. college in Des Moines. He was married to Jeanne Ives of Marion June 1, 1948. Since 1947 he has been employed by Dearborn Brass Company, Cedar Rapids. At the time of his death he was assistant production manager. He entered World war II service on Oct. 21, 1941. He served with battery 202, northern France, Rhineland and in Central Europe, serving overseas from January, 1944 to November, 1945. At the time of his discharge Jan. 31, 1946, he was a first lieutenant. Mr. Beeson was a member of the Marion Methodist church, Marion post 298, American Legion. Surviving, in addition to his wife and his parents, are a son, Phillip Beeson, 5, and a daughter, Mary Jeanne Beeson, 3. Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. J.P. Hauter. Marion post, American Legion, will conduct military services at the grave in Cedar Memorial cemetery....
